When will these blockheads get the pointt: Vaccinations and Covid-19 tests are not the same instruments. One is like a passport and the other like a visa. They should not be use interchangeably but collectively. Minnis and others started the idea that once you have the vaccine, you ok. No need for a test. And that attitude is what is help fire the increasing number of cases. A vaccinated person with covid-19 but no symptoms and no test. has the potential to be a super spreader..Like rooster in a hen house

Exactly! And what they gov't fails to understand is that everyone is not just traveling from Miami and when a health visa is not approved in time, we are simply out a $50 boat ride.  I am traveling from across the US.  So the flight is $650, and I have to book a hotel for 7 days.  I have been vaccinated for months.  I just asked healthvisa@bahamas.com and they said even though I am fully vaccinated I can only apply for a health visa a week before my flight leaves.  WHY?  So I am going to book over $2,000 in non-refundable ticket/hotel to sit on the edge of my seat and see if they will approve my health visa at the last minute. And they need a paper copy, so I guess they expect me to bring my printer to the airport so when they approve me an hour before my flight I can print it out at the airport.  I don't think they understand how traveling works.   It makes absolutely no sense.

For God's sake - instead of getting overwhelmed - simply require travelers to the Bahamas to produce a neg R-PCR test or vaccine record on arrival or they're not admitted. WHY is that so difficult for the Gov't to understand????????????

They are shocked that tourists would book an airline ticket for $700, hotels for $2k, request vacation time from work and then wouldn't want to wait until a few days before this nonrefundable trip to apply thru a website - they must be crazy. And when we don't get an answer to the Health Visa 2 days before our trip - we are out $4,000. No thanks. They obviously think everyone is simply traveling from Ft Lauderdale and only has an $80 boat trip on the line. The health visa also requires that people who have been vaccinated provide the lab name and phone number (mandatory fields in the application). The Government in charge of this site needs to educate themselves as to what happens in the US. People in Massachusetts actually can get vaccinated at the mall as a 'walk-in'. No lab name, no lab phone number to provide.

Sigh. This was touted as revolutionary technical advancement. And 4000 requests per day overwhelms the system??? Fine if you are a one man show but the entire govt 4000 requests is too much? How do we handle the world. Again we will not advance until the govt stops handing control to family and friends, stops being star eyed by "branding" and starts listening to people who know how. Just becsuse something is on a computer doesn't mean its a well defined system. Clearly.

Last week Renward said "WE" created a platform called "Sharepoint". Today they told us in transferring data from one system to the next they missed 1000 records. That's unacceptable. Why do they swallow these explanations??? Did they test the migration??? Run it and check to ensure that everything had transferred? Because any migration that misses 1000 records is a failure. Worse that it represents 10% of the cases. If you dont laugh youll cry.

Restrictions eased for those fully vaccinated in the US

Vaccinations save lives. I'm a healthy person living a healthy life. healthy people still can get sick and die from Covid and spread it to others with co-morbitities. Vaccines are tools that have helped us before and will help us through this now. Please vaccinate and save your country from sickness, death and financial ruin. It is your obligation as a good neighbor and citizen.
