PETA donates to animal rescue
THIS week, PETA donated $2,500 to a fundraiser set up by Oakland, California resident Douglas Thron, a cinematographer and animal activist who recently used a drone to locate and rescue an abandoned dog from “mountains of debris” on Abaco in the wake of Hurricane Dorian.
Two bodies found as official toll reaches 69
POLICE in Abaco have recovered two bodies in the Mudd, bringing the official death toll from Hurricane Dorian to 69. In a statement, the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) said one body was found on November 8 and the other on November 14.
