Police have confirmed that a 17-year-old of East Street south is in police custody.
The teenager was arrested around 6:00 pm on Friday in Eastern New Providence.
Police reports indicate that around 3:30 am on Thursday 28th June, the teen allegedly escaped lawful custody while being detained at the Princess Margaret Hospital. Active police investigations continue.
SHOOTING INCIDENT
Police are investigating a shooting incident that has left a 40 year old male of Malcolm Road in hospital.
The incident reportedly occurred around 10:15 pm on Saturday.
Initial police reports indicate that the victim was at Malcolm Road and Winders Terrace when he got into an altercation with another male and was subsequently shot multiple times.
The victim was taken to hospital via private vehicle where he is detained in serious condition.
Police are following significant leads into the matter. Active police investigations continue.
