Police release identities of murder victims

POLICE have identified the bodies of two of last week's murder victims.

The body of the woman found in Pinewood Gardens on Thursday has been identified as 19-year-old Kayvonnya Miller of Key West Street.

According to police reports, Ms Miller was found suffering from multiple stab wounds in the bushes behind a new housing development at Poinciana Drive, Pinewood Gardens, around 6:30pm.

Police are questioning a man and juvenile boy in connection with the matter.

Police have also identified the man gunned down in the Cordeaux Avenue area over the weekend as 19-year-old Hueton Lloyd Jr of Trinidad Avenue, Elizabeth Estates.

The teenager was approached by three men on Key West Street, south of Cordeaux Avenue, around 1:50am on Saturday and was shot multiple times, said a police report.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police and locals will resume the search for a 19-year-old Long Island resident who disappeared on Sunday while diving at Deans Blue Hole in Deans, Long Island.

The victim, a resident of Clarence Town, did not surface after diving with friends shortly before 4pm.

It is reported that Police and local divers spent Sunday afternoon combing the area for the victim, however, they were unable to find him.

Police are seeking the public's assistance and asking anyone who might have information regarding this or any other incidents to contact them at 919, 322-3333, the Central Detective Unit at 502-9910 or 502-9991 or Crimestoppers at 328-TIPS.

Police have also located 19-year-old Trenice Bell of Franklyn Avenue who was reported missing on Sunday.

Ms Bell, who was last seen on Thursday, was found yesterday around 8:40pm at Market Street and Bimini Avenue. She is said to be in good health.
