CHRISTMAS has come and gone, but party promoters are still making plans to keep Bahamians entertained by preparing exciting New Year’s Eve parties. This Tuesday, most countries around the world will celebrate the coming of the New Year. Whether it is at a family gathering, a watch night church service, dinner and dancing or a special festival, millions of people will be out on the town. Below, The Tribune gathered a list of Things To Do to bring in the New Year in the Bahamas.

“New Year’s Eve”

Place: AURA Nightclub
NYE with Guest DJ Joe Maz. General Admission includes complimentary glass of champagne. Bottle Service available. Pre-booking $125/person. Door sales $200/person.

“Swagga Ent & Moet Presents: Resolutions New Years Eve”
Place: Bayside Pavilion (small tent at Arawak cay)
Hosted by Stefan Legend and Kuji The Conductor, and music provided by Playhouse Deejays. Dress code sexy; general admission $25 and VIP $50 dollars.

“The Temptations”
Place: Grand Lucayan, Seahorse Road, Freeport Grand Bahama
Lucayan Live concert series presents The Temptations, beginning at 7 pm. Tickets sold at 75 dollars.

“New Year’s Eve Dinner Party”

Place: Travelers Rest, West Bay Street

Outdoor bar with drink specials all night, Seating starts at 7:30 pm. For 99 dollars per person, there will be a 4 course meal with optional main course and a bottle of wine. Guests can also look forward to a countdown to releasing sky lanterns.

“The Crazy Johnny’s NYE Party”

Place: Crazy Johnny’s, East Bay Street

Music performances by Johnnie Christie and SubCulture Band. Doors open at 9 pm, show time begins at 10 pm. Champagne and shot specials available.

“New Year’s Eve at Hammerheads”

Place: Hammerheads Bar and Grill, #1 Plaza on the Pond, Baystreet (Between the two bridges)

Join the Hammerheads crew as they put on a countdown in the courtyard with DJ Casper. There will be champagne by the bottle and midnight fireworks from the bridge to enjoy. $5 cover charge, members get in for free.

“NYE Party @ Green Parrot”

Place: Green Parrot, East Bay Street

Live music by Soundtraxx, fireworks, champagne and Junkanoo Rush-out to enjoy!

“New Year’s Junkanoo Parade”

Place: Downtown. Bay Street

The costumes, culture, talent, rhythms and vibes will take to Bay Street once again this holiday season to give Bahamians what they have been waiting for all year.

“Happy New Year 2014”

Place: Intersection of Elizabeth Ave & Bay Street, Elizabeth on Bay Plaza

For 149 dollars person, patrons can enjoy a fantastic View of Atlantis Firework Show, a 5 Course meal with optional main course, bottle of champagne (Table of 2) and a complimentary welcome cocktail.


“Via’s Junka-New Year’s Eve Celebration”

Place: Via Restaurant & Bar

Open all night for Junkanoo, the Via Junka New Year’s Eve party will feature music by Alpha Sounds. There will be a complimentary countdown toast to 2014 along with specials on Via’s Touch The Sky Juice and boiled fish or chicken souse with coconut Johnny cake.
