Arianna Vanderpool-Wallace has made sporting history for the Bahamas with a silver medal in the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland.
Vanderpool-Wallace came second in the women's 50m butterfly final in 25.53 seconds - to claim the first ever senior swimming medal for the Bahamas.
Francesca Halsall of England was first in 25.20 and Brittany Elmslie of Australia was third in 25.91.

What an amazing hopefully just a first of more the medal-er accomplishment from out of 4,500 top athletics from 71 Commonwealth nations came one of our very own - a very special and determined Comrade "Silver Medalists" Arianna Vanderpool-Wallace. A Commonwealth Games silver medal of pure pride in one of our very own was hung around the necks of all Bahamalander’s from Island to Island.
A special public shout-out of gratitude goes to the Comrade Vanderpool-Wallace family for raising one classy champion.
