TWO MEN are recovering in hospital today after they were shot multiple times on Thursday morning.

According to reports, shortly before 11am, two men were at Allen Drive, off Carmichael Road, when a man armed with a shotgun fired several shots at them before fleeing the area on foot. One of the men was shot in the back and leg and the other in the hand.

The operation, according to police, targeted people involved in criminal activities, such as drugs and firearms, persons wanted for various criminal offences, prolific offenders, persons wanted for outstanding court warrants and motorists breaching the traffic laws.
