POLICE in Exuma are investigating the drowning death of a 73–year-old American man from Ohio. The man died on Saturday.
According to reports, shortly before 6pm, the victim was snorkelling with relatives in waters off Farmers Hill, when he lost consciousness. The victim was taken to shore and transported to the local clinic where he was pronounced dead by the island’s doctor.
An autopsy will be performed to determine the exact cause of death.
Investigations are continuing.
