POLICE in New Providence are investigating the death of a man early on Saturday morning who had apparently been stabbed.
Police reported that shortly before 7am, they received a report of man found dead in a parking lot on Elizabeth Avenue. When officers arrived on the scene they found the body of a lifeless adult male who was apparently stabbed.
The man was pronounced dead on the scene.

How many persons is this killed post "murders are down 29% statement"? This would put the new count around 61 or 62..can we get the new crime stats as at June 25th seeing as the ones as at June 14th are irrelevant?
(Which organization provides any official report "as at" the 14th of the month anyway?)
It also seems ludicrous to be speaking of a double digit % decrease for a single digit drop. We sold 2 bikes this year as opposed to 1 last year, sales are up 50%. Seems a little weird
