IN a partnership between the Public Hospitals Authority and Lowe’s Wholesale Drug, gift baskets were given to nurses who helped deliver the first boy and girl of the new year yesterday.
Tara Hanna-Rolle was the first boy, born at 2.57am, weighing six pounds and seven ounces. Dieulie Sampson was the first girl, born at 7.58am, weighing seven pounds.
Lowe’s representative Giavannia Turnquest gave the gift baskets to maternity nursing supervisor Judith Clarke, PMH administrative officer Rishar Gray and duty sister Joanna Oliver.
Items in the basket included chocolates and baby products.
