In 1958, they moved together to Nassau, where he continued to work in construction with various persons. During their early years of marriage, they were blessed with two children; Ryan and Sherrilee.

In addition to construction, Rannie worked with Kemp’s Funeral Home for a number of years before he decided to venture out on his own in that field. Rannie was a perfectionist when it came to his work; he made sure that everything was done correctly.

Rannie’s personality was vibrant; he was easy to talk to and he enjoyed making people laugh and smile. He had many friends from all walks of life.
