lady ping's comments are so so typical of the plp's entitlement culture. does she think this is a kingdom. does she think this country belongs to the pindlings or even worse the plp. which God stepped down and gave sir lynden ownership of this country? it's quite comical to see my fellow inner city plp supporters feeling sympathy for her having lost a bit of her wealth that was actually gained on their backs.

Ha! If the Commission of Inquiry caused Sir Linden Oscar Pindling (SLOP) stress, it was because he had lots to hide. And if SLOP died broke, it must be because Lady P kept drinking Dom long after she could get the Bahamian people to pay for it. And why should we have had to pay for her maid and cook? You should have bought your own car; the Bahamain people did not owe you one forever. That palace SLOP built on Skyline Drive - you could have cut out a couple of the rooms and bought yourself a pair of cars, but you thought you would never be out of power. I've no sympathy for, you, with all your attitude of entitlement. Your husband probably wasn't even entitled to be PM anyway. How come they never found SLOP's birth certificate? Maybe they should have looked in Jamaica for it.

The last I checked isn't Mr. Ingraham the current Prime Minister. Doesn't he deserve respect too. Like he said at the beginning of the election cycle we ain starting no fights but we ain ducking no blows. But guys we can disagree respectfully.

Victor 12 years, 6 months ago on it's close - exit poll gives plp slight lead

I would love to see some accurate polling done in the Bahamas, but seriously? Does this reporter know ANYTHING at all about how to conduct an accurate poll? The sample sizes are WAY too small to have any statistical meaning. To say nothing of the fact that an advance poll is not a representative sample of the population. (In this case, it would represent some of the most highly motivated voters as well as a few specific professions). No control was put into place for age, gender as well as for who the voter supported in previous elections. Honestly, the Tribune should be ashamed for putting this out and suggesting it has any meaning at all.

Look, this whole story is ridiculuos and the reporter should be fired. Out of 8000 potential voters, they spoke to less than 200- and the reporter actually thinks the results are worth a grain of salt? It is to laugh at, so that's what I'll do. Ha, ha.

Calling this an exit poll is close to if not exceeding the bounds of responsible journalism. C'Mon Tribune.

And I overlooked the fact in the article that this poll was conducted for only 4 hours. WTF? A properly conducted exit poll is done from the polls open until they close. And Jerome Gomez all ova da radio talk show sayin da exit polls have predicted that he will win Killarney. I really think the Tribune needs to do a follow up story explaining that this exit poll is a complete farce. Unbelievable...unthinkable!

My family and I wish you the best, Mr. Ingraham, and thank you for all the good which you did for Nassau and the Bahamas. Your shining legacy greets us every time we arrive in New Providence and the Islands to our unending pleasure. Thank you and all the best,

perspective 12 years, 5 months ago on Ingraham quits politics

HUBERT INGRAHAM WAS THE CONSUMMATE NATION BUILDER......I THANK HIM FOR HIS WORK IN ATTEMPTING TO CREATE A MODERN AND SOPHISTICATED COUNTRY.

The Bahamian electorate is becoming increasingly shortsighted and are showing all the signs of devolving once again into an unsophisticated ghetto society as we did in the drug infested latter Pindling years......The PLP I am sure is happy for this deterioration and will use it to their advantage as Jamaica did with its Garrison politics.

HUBERT INGRAHAM IN THIS LAST TERM.....Built new roads and highways; Modernized the Airport; Built the Stadium; Built The Straw Market; Built three New schools; Modernized Batelco; Built a Brand new Hospital wing; Beautifully Revamped Saunders Beach; Completed the Baha Mar deal; Built the new court building...and much more......all in the worlds worst recession Without mass firing of Bahamian workers (as was the case in the rest of the World)

Bahamians chose to fire and ridicule this hero of a prime minister and chose hype instead.

Throughout the world black nations complain about their plight......but often as black people our plight is out choosing. Bahamians were unwilling to sacrifice for Ingrahams vision of a better country..........A cursed day in Bahamial politics..........we will regret it.!!

Disgusted 12 years, 5 months ago on Bahamas has lost a great leader

This is VERY distasteful and biased of the tribune to post. As a Bahamian that didn't vote FNM I am INSULTED by the tone of this article. As journalists you all are to be more responsible and professional. Bahamians displayed their right to vote for their party of choice and they did and it is UNFAIR for them to be labeled UNGRATEFUL because of it. You do NOT know the struggle each Bahamian family went through the last 5 years so for you to deem them ungrateful is DISTASTEFUL. If you benefited from the FNM govt and HAI then your God given RIGHT was to vote for the FNM like wise if you HADN'T it was your God given right to vote PLP. And by election results, more people had NOT. It saddens me that such a what I thought to be decent News Paper would scold Bahamians for doing what they thought The Bahamas needed. Remember, The Bahamas is made up of Bahamians. I wish no man ill but I will say this, I hope this article causes The Tribune customers. As journalist you guys KNOW better. Whether you all are FNMs or PLPs, when it comes to business the professional thing to do is remain NEUTRAL.

Fred Mitchell as Minister of Foreign Affairs AND IMMIGRATION !?!?! This gatta be a typo. Mitchell is a sympathizer who will NOT be tough on this immigration problem. Christie obviously is not serious about Immigration and has prioritized it as low. This is mistake number ONE! Bahamians are watching.

The PLP's must deeply regret plastering those billboards around town. Because now the country is counting. They need to do what they promised and get the crime under control immediately. Not worry about settling all of their promises to those who donated funds for their campaign. Get the crime under control ASAP!!!!

Anyone else thinking about stopping their mortgage payments to take advantage of the PLP's mortgage relief plan? If you good paying citizens continue to pay, you will be taxed to help the PLP out with the mortgage relief to their chosen few. How about let's all of us seek to have the PLP rescue us from our mortgage?

jackbnimble 12 years, 4 months ago on BTC apologises for network issues

It seems live every other day BTC is apologising for disruptions, dropped calls, or slow service. It's bad enough that we have poor service with our cell phones, but now if your land line is down it's taking weeks to get them to come and check it. I have only one question: Lord, when will this madness cease and the Bahamian people begin to get all that was promised on the hasty sale of BTC? Growing pains? I wonder.
