A MAN accused of a near-fatal bar shooting in Andros last week was remanded to prison yesterday.
Prosecutors allege Kyles Miller, 24, attempted to shoot and kill Calsey Fowler Jr, 33, outside a business in Nicholls Town, Andros, at 2.35am on August 2.
Mr Fowler was airlifted to New Providence for treatment of a gunshot wound to the left side of his pelvis.
Miller was not required to enter a plea to attempted murder before acting Chief Magistrate Ancella Evans.
The accused was informed that his case would proceed to the Supreme Court by way of a voluntary bill of indictment (VBI).
Miller was also informed of his right to apply to the Supreme Court for bail.
He was remanded to the Bahamas Department of Correctional Services until the service of his VBI on January 28, 2027.
Corporal Moultrie prosecuted the case.
