A Bahamian insurance agency says it is marking its 60th anniversary by helping customers discover how much of their insurance business can be handled online.
NUA Insurance Agents & Brokers, in a statement, said it staged an in-branch digital support initiative to help customers learn more about First Online - the full-service digital insurance portal available to its clients.
The programme provided assistance with registration, and helped customers become more confident in taking care of their insurance needs online. NUA added that, through First Online, customers doing business with NUA can get a home or motor insurance quote, purchase a new policy or renew an existing one, pay premiums and access their insurance documents online.
“What stood out to me was seeing how interested customers were to discover everything they could do online,” said Kiesha Curry, agency operations manager at NUA. “Once they were guided through the registration process and saw the different options available, many were surprised by how straightforward it was.
“Good customer service is about giving customers choices in how they do business with us. Sometimes that means speaking directly with one of our team members, and sometimes the convenience of completing a transaction online may suit them better. The additional in-branch support was designed to make sure our customers know the available options and can choose what works best for them.”
“Innovation is not simply about introducing new technology,” said Stanford A. Charlton, NUA’s managing director. “Our customers increasingly expect insurance services that fit around their lives The technology may already be there, but sometimes the innovation is in helping people make better use of it. We want our customers’ experience with NUA to be intuitive, convenient and supported. That is what this initiative was designed to do.
“As we celebrate 60 years, we are proud of the relationships that have brought NUA this far, but longevity also requires a willingness to evolve. The needs and expectations of our customers have changed considerably over six decades, and part of remaining relevant is continuing to evolve with them.”
By guiding customers through the wider capabilities available through First Online, NUA said it hopes to encourage greater use of the digital platform for regular insurance needs.
