A MAN was accused of trespassing in a woman’s West Street apartment and assaulting her with a cutlass last weekend.
Prosecutors allege Daquille Missick, 32, was found living in Raquel Chea’s apartment without her permission sometime between 12.50pm and 1.10pm on August 16.
When Ms Chea confronted Missick and asked him to leave, he allegedly became irate.
Missick is accused of assaulting Ms Chea and Neville Styles with a cutlass.
He pleaded not guilty to trespassing, unlawful entry and two counts of assault with a deadly weapon before Magistrate Abigail Farrington.
Missick’s bail was set at $7,000 with one or two sureties. Under the terms of his bail, he must sign in at the Nassau Street Police Station every Friday by 7pm.
He was also warned not to contact any witnesses in the matter or risk having his bail revoked.
Missick returns for trial on September 15.
Reserve Inspector Deveaux prosecuted the case.
