A 20-year-old man was hospitalised after falling about three storeys while installing air-conditioning units at Police Headquarters in Grand Bahama on Friday.
Police said the man, who was employed by a private company, was working on scaffolding on the exterior of the East Mall Drive building shortly after 11am when it gave way.
He fell to the ground and the scaffolding subsequently landed on his right leg. He also complained of back pain. Emergency Medical Services personnel assessed the man at the scene before taking him to hospital.
Police said investigators later visited him at hospital, where he remained under medical care for his injuries.
An investigation into the industrial accident is continuing.
