BTC continues investment in its people, recognising 38 Top Performers for Q2

BTC has recognised 38 employees in New Providence and the Family Islands as its top performers for the second quarter, bringing to 79 the number of workers honoured under the company’s recognition programme so far this year.

The telecommunications provider said the quarterly programme recognises employees for performance, initiative, teamwork and their contributions to customers and the company’s operations.

The latest group follows 41 employees who received the designation for the first quarter.

BTC Director of People Patrice Thompson said the programme is part of the company’s wider effort to support employee development and recognise strong performance.

“Investing in our people means creating opportunities for them to grow, be challenged, be supported and know that their contribution matters,” Ms Thompson said.

She said BTC wants employees to know that strong performance is recognised and that the company is deliberately rewarding workers who raise its standards.

The 38 employees selected for the second quarter work across different departments, roles and locations.

Ms Thompson said employees contribute to the company in different ways, including through customer service, operations, technology and other supporting roles.

“The employees being recognized this quarter have demonstrated what is possible when people bring commitment, accountability, initiative and purpose to their work,” she said.

BTC said the Top Performer programme is part of its focus on employee engagement, development and performance and will continue throughout the year.

Among those recognised was Tamara Ferguson, who said receiving the recognition from her manager was “an honor and a privilege”.

“I am a stickler for perfection, and when I do anything I do it wholeheartedly,” Ms Ferguson said. “As for my advice to others, I would tell them to be true to yourselves, always work hard, and have a good work ethic.”

BTC plans to recognise additional top performers in the third and fourth quarters before naming its 2026 Employee of the Year.
