AN 18-year-old male accused of a fatal shooting on Eneas Street last week was remanded to prison yesterday.
Prosecutors allege Christopher Newbold ambushed and shot Revincent Malcolm, 23, while he was on a track road near Eneas Street on the night of June 5.
Although Malcolm attempted to flee, he collapsed on Eneas Street and was pronounced dead by authorities around 11pm.
Newbold was not required to enter a plea to murder before Senior Magistrate Algernon Allen Jr.
The defendant was informed that his matter would proceed to the Supreme Court through a voluntary bill of indictment.
Newbold was also informed of his right to apply for bail through the higher court.
The accused was remanded to the Bahamas Department of Correctional Services until service of his VBI on October 23.
Sergeant 3004 Forbes prosecuted the case.
