A 30-year-old man died in Abaco after he was ejected from a Nissan Note during a two-vehicle crash on Earnest Dean Highway in Spring City on Monday morning.
Police said they received reports of the collision shortly after 7am and responded to the scene, where they found both vehicles overturned and extensively damaged.
The driver of the silver Nissan Note was found unresponsive at the scene. Emergency Medical Services personnel examined him and confirmed he had no vital signs.
The driver of the second vehicle, a green Nissan March, complained of chest pain and was taken to the Marsh Harbour Medical Centre for treatment. He was examined by a doctor and discharged.
Police said preliminary investigations suggest the green Nissan March was travelling north along Earnest Dean Highway when the driver of the Nissan Note attempted to overtake.
During the manoeuvre, an oncoming vehicle approached from the opposite direction, forcing the Nissan Note back into the northbound lane, where it collided with the Nissan March.
