A MAN was sentenced to eight months in prison on Friday after he was found with $7,000 worth of marijuana last week.
Jamal Edgecombe, 33, was found in possession of 3.5lbs of hydroponic marijuana in New Providence on October 29.
Edgecombe pleaded guilty to possession of dangerous drugs with intent to supply before Acting Chief Magistrate Ancella Evans.
After Edgecombe accepted sole responsibility for the drugs, the charge against his co-accused, Pedronique Brown, 25, was withdrawn.
Edgecombe was sentenced to eight months at the Bahamas Department of Correctional Services.
Inspector Deon Barr prosecuted the case.
