A MAN with a pending Supreme Court case was accused of having a loaded gun earlier this week in New Providence.

Prosecutors allege Tyrone Smith Jr, 24, was found with a black Taurus G2C 9mm pistol and six rounds of ammunition on November 3.

Smith pleaded not guilty to possession of an unlicensed firearm and possession of ammunition.

He appeared before Senior Magistrate Algernon Allen Jr. Inspector 3004 Sherquell Forbes, the prosecutor, objected to the accused bail, citing that he had a pending matter before the higher court.

Smith was denied bail and remanded to the Bahamas Department of Correctional Services until his trial scheduled for May 18, 2027.
