A REPEAT offender was accused yesterday of stealing a motorcycle from Forbes Court last week.
Prosecutors allege Deon Green, 29, stole a black and white 2024 Yamaha motorcycle belonging to Chad Brown on November 2.
The stolen vehicle is valued at $2,722.73.
Green pleaded not guilty to stealing and receiving before Senior Magistrate Kendra Kelly Burrows.Inspector Vernon Pyfrom, the prosecutor, objected to the accused bail, citing that he had priors of a similar nature. Green was previously accused of stealing a grey 2015 Honda Fit valued at $5,500 belonging to Allan Salas of Robinson Road and Fifth Street on May 18, 2024.
Despite the prior charge, Green argued he was still a fit candidate for bail.
Green was denied bail and remanded to the Bahamas Department of Correctional Services until he returns for trial on December 4.
