A MAN accused of threatening his brother told a court the two had clashed before, saying:
Fred Ramsey, 47, pleaded not guilty on Friday to threatening Gerard Ramsey on October 13 with intent to put him in fear of unlawful harm.
The prosecution said the brothers, who live in the same house, were always fighting.
Ramsey first appeared before Magistrate Algernon Allen, but the case was moved to another court when it emerged that he was already on bail in another matter involving his brother. He made the remark while explaining that earlier case.
He later appeared before Magistrate Raquel Whyms and again pleaded not guilty. He was granted bail of $2,000 on condition that he report to the Carmichael Road police station every Tuesday and have no contact with his brother.
His trial is set for January 21, 2027.
