A 45-YEAR-OLD man charged with vagrancy for allegedly loitering at a liquor store on East Street South was acquitted after telling a magistrate he was there to buy alcohol.

Edrick Marshall was accused of loitering at Red Lantern liquor store on October 19, 2026, and being unable to give a satisfactory account of why he was there.

When Acting Chief Magistrate Ancella Evans asked why he was at the store, Marshall said he had gone there to buy alcohol.

Marshall was acquitted, and relatives in court breathed a sigh of relief and thanked the magistrate.
