TWO men have been jailed after admitting to stealing a car in New Providence last month, with the repeat offender receiving the longer sentence.
Wilner Pierre, 35, and Tamicko Williams, 34, admitted stealing a silver Toyota Passo belonging to Brian Rolle on August 25.
The defendants pleaded guilty to the charge of stealing before Senior Magistrate Algernon Allen Jr.
Sergeant 3004 Forbes told the court that Williams had previous theft convictions.
Williams had been sentenced to 16 months in prison for attempted stealing in January 2023.
For the latest offence, Williams was sentenced to 12 months in prison, while Pierre received an eight-month sentence.
Both men were informed of their right to appeal.
