A TOURIST was ordered to pay $500 to each of two police officers she injured while resisting arrest outside the RIU Hotel on Paradise Island last week.

Bria Osbourne, 33, injured Police Constable 111 Newbold and Police Constable 517 Wright while resisting arrest on September 19. She also assaulted PC Wright and used obscene language to the annoyance of both officers.

Earlier that day at the same location, Osbourne assaulted security guard David Sejour and behaved disorderly.

Osbourne was charged with obscene language, disorderly behaviour, resisting arrest, two counts of causing harm and two counts of assault.

She pleaded guilty to all charges before Deputy Chief Magistrate Shaka Serville.

Osbourne expressed remorse and said she was not herself at the time. She admitted that she had been heavily intoxicated that day.

The magistrate ordered her to make a $500 charitable donation to each officer she injured.

She was warned and discharged on the remaining charges.

Inspector Cordero Farrington prosecuted the case.
